Scraping…
For a visualization of a timeline of works by Lombardi, I need data on his works. As it stands, this is not available in a sufficient manner but distributed over several sources, such as the excerpt from the MOMA-collection or works from galleries such as Pierogi2000. To collect the information, a screen scraper for the Websites seems the most efficient solution. However, it turns out that screen scraping tools are not that simple. After doing some research, the installation of Scrapy failed due to several dependencies on several native libraries for Windows. I now found OutWitHub that I use in the light version as a Firefox extension. Since I do not crawl the complete Web but extract from some selected small sources this seems an appropriate tool.
